State of Wellness’s mission is to develop leaders and resources in public health education, worksite health promotion and wellness in order to strengthen policies, programs and environments to enable everyone to benefit from a happier and healthier life.

  • Helping local, regional and state entities to develop and support employer based wellness programs through the use of evidence based policies, programs and practices.
  • Developing educational opportunities and supporting ongoing professional development through the use of technology and learning communities.

Vision – Creating new environmental and behavioral norms where everyone may thrive.

Initially, we’ve created a series of webinars highlighting different state-based approaches to supporting worksite based health and wellness.   Additionally, we highlight specific issue/policy related topics such as Healthy Vending and others. At least once each month we offer a webinar on a new topic.  Each webinar is recorded live and archived here.  All webinars are freely available for anyone.

The “State of Wellness” series is a great opportunity to learn about the different approaches taken by states to deliver worksite based health & wellness initiatives. I encourage everyone involved in worksite health promotion to attend these free live webinars, ask questions and share insights”. – Jason Lang, MPH MS, Team Lead, Workplace Health Programs, NCCDPHP/CDC
